What's a good solution apart from voting libertarian because, regardless of how Moore shoots or edits, a solution is necessary.

And yes, of course we miss you. There's no one here to play devil's advocate so effectively. The cats always seem to agree with us. And of course your goatee. We miss that too.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04410083958864111326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18282475.post-4763758673522698282007-07-25T19:24:00.000-06:002007-07-25T19:24:00.000-06:00"Moore's made a film that seems to be resonating w..."Moore's made a film that seems to be resonating with almost everyone who sees, red or blue, democrat or republican."

Except those damn Libertarians (who, if they ever got an electoral vote, would be colored yellow).

For me in watching Sicko, the serious message I got was the sheer expense required of society to provide healthcare, public or private. Moore glosses over the tax burden placed on those with socialized heathcare. He ignores the private health insurance now available in some countries (like the U.K. and Canada) that make up for the deficiencies in the socialized medical systems (like waiting times... something else that Moore glosses over as well--apparently one clinic is a representative sample of waiting times for Moore.)

That being said, Moore takes aim at the worst of private healthcare, privately obtained or budget company provided HMO's. In America, it's HMO's that are the problem, not private healthcare itself. Quality PPO's often times exceed the "savings" of public heath care, and have the speed of private heathcare.

Don't you miss me, guys?!?!Deanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06517180059240832820noreply@blogger.com
