Get your bonfires and fireworks ready...

Remember, remember the fifth of November....

It is Guy Fawkes night tonight....a night to remember the Gunpowder Conspirators of 1605, who attempted to blow up the House of Parliament, kill King James I of England, thereby killing off the Protestant aristocracy and rule.

Although not successful, their efforts are remembered each year.

The major negative aspect of V for Vendetta is the way it portrays pretentiously cynical elitism in a positive yet arrogant manner. V for Vendetta failed just as Guy Fawkes did.

I like getting comments to our blog. I think that everyone is entitled to add their own opinion as a comment whether they agree or disagree. What I do not like is someone bashing a post without even adding their name. Take the time to put your name on your comments if you wish for them to be taken seriously.

V for Vendetta? I thought the post was about Guy Fawkes. Let me double-check. One sec...

It is! There isn't even a mention of V. What a completely, categorically useless comment. Thanks anonymous poster!

here here! who will unmask this menence? it's as if he's/she's hiding behind a mask of some sort...a white mask with a pointy nose and chin...i'm hoping it's a girl...a sexy girl! anonymous, i demand you identify yourself! dude, i knew it all along; it's natalie portman...she's just mad because she got duped in v is for vendetta. speaking of v, anybody remember that tv show "v"? and now let's bring it back full circle...that hat totally betrayed fawkes...it just screams out, 'i'm the english unibomber from 400 years ago.' that, or it says, 'i wanted to be a pirate, but they just laughed at my hat and poked my belly.' that's why he looks so mean in the painting...he has pirate envy...

not sure how that comment was "bashing" anything. He just didn't like "V for Vandetta" which rules me out since I haven't seen it. Plus I wish I was that articulate but since I'm semi-retarded, I continue to only dream of such rhetoric... but how is it bashing your post?

Useless... perhaps... (I found it semi-interesting) Bashing... I don't see it.

Man, I loved me some "V" for Visitors. There's a scene, in the first season, where this dude is sitting in a chair with his back to this other dude. And the second dude keeps talking to him, then, when the guy doesn't respond, he turns the chair around, and the dude's face is gone! Man, that scared the _shit_ out of me when I was a kid. True story!

you soiled yourself over a television program? don't get me wrong, i love me some simpsons, but it's never made me, uh, lose control or anything...

you know what scares me? locust swarms. that's some old school whoopin' right there. i had a dream about locusts (loci?), and not the good sexy type either...of course, it could have been the discovery channel program i fell asleep to last night...

You could look up their logged IP address to see where the post came from.

Looking up the IP address is a good idea, but blogger does not have that capability at this time. :)
